Johanna M. Stone, 74, of Wagner
Funeral services are 10 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial is in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation is Friday from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
Johanna Marian Stone was born on the family farm on November 17, 1941 to Alonzo and Loretto (Holton) Stone. She and her twin brother John, were named after their maternal grandparents.
Johanna attended Kennedy School #2 through the eighth grade and Wagner Public School for her high school education.
She lived on the family farm most of her life and enjoyed gardening and taking care of her beloved chickens. She liked to bake and can produce from the garden. She also enjoyed watching baseball.
In later years she lived in an apartment in Wagner and then became a resident of the Wagner Good Samaritan Center in 2007.
Johanna was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sisters: Yvonne (Frank) Vachuska of Minneapolis, MN, Joyce (Al) Drozda of Lincoln, NE, Carol (Douglas) Chapman of Parkston, Virginia (Laverne) Dice of Seattle, WA; brothers: Russell (Marlene) Stone of Wagner and her twin brother John (Margie) Stone of Wagner.
