Joseph Kmoch, 82, of Wagner
Joseph was born in rural Lake Andes, SD on October 4, 1931, the son of Frank and Mary (Dvorak) Kmock. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in rural Wagner on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He attained the age of 82 years and four months.
After graduating from Ravinia Consolidated High School in 1951. He spent two years in the armed forces. Most of his service time was spent in Alaska. After being honorably discharged from the service he returned home to the family farm where he lived until his unexpected death.
Joseph will be remembered for his love of the farm and playing cards, especially 10 point pitch. He also enjoyed trucking with Harvey Sorenson years ago.
Thankful for having shared his life are his two sisters: Rose Haynes of Mitchell and Mary Patocka of Springfield and their families; and some friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law: Stanley Haynes and Alvin Patocka.
Private memorial services are being held.
