Joyce Broz, 90, of Wagner

Services are 10:30 AM, Monday, January 16, 2023 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be the hour prior to services.

Joyce Broz, age 90, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. She had recently resided at Sister James Care Center in Yankton.

Joyce was born July 28, 1932 to Ben and Anna (Kuhlman) Ailts in Wagner. She attended school in Wagner and graduated high school in 1949. On March 4, 1951, she married the love of her life, Walden Broz. After Walden finished he's Navy enlistment, they settled in Sioux City, IA for a number of years before moving to Kansas City, MO where Joyce worked at K-Mart for over 25 years. In 2003, they retired and moved to Wagner.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and always had time for them. Joyce was a dog person and enjoyed puzzles, reading Fiction, and keeping up with the news of the day. She was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan. Joyce was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Thankful for having shared her life are many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Walden on May 28, 2006, parents, brother George Ailts and infant sister Verna.
