Obituary

Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2010 at Wagner United Methodist Church, 406 SW 1st Street, Wagner, SD. with Pastor Gordon Higgins officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Andes, SD. Arrangements are under the direction of Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner, SD.

June Helen Wright, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. June was born June 26, 1921 in Lake Andes, South Dakota to Joseph and Amy Soulek at the family home. June graduated from Lake Andes High School in 1940. June married Charles Chester Wright that same year. During their married years they lived in South Dakota; Sioux City, Iowa; Sacramento, California, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. June worked for many years at Safeway and in later years worked in Medical Records at Lovelace Clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico until her retirement at age 72. June's passion was to travel with her family to many destinations around the USA and Canada. Her favorite destination was always her beloved South Dakota.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Amy-Jones- Soulek of Armour/Wagner, SD; former husband, Charles Chester Wright of Albuquerque, NM; her sister, Florence-Soulek-Rozell and husband Ernest "Puck" Rozell Jr., of Elk Point, SD; and brother-in-law, Jack Anderson of Wagner, South Dakota.

June is survived by a brother, Robert Soulek and wife Ann of Armour, SD; a sister, Marjorie Anderson of Wagner, SD; two daughters, Amy Lawrence of Albuquerque, N.M. and Lynda Dils and husband Wesley of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Rock Lawrence and wife Kelly of Albuquerque; Michelle Mulkey and husband Duane of Durango, Co; David Dils and wife Carrie of Benbrook, TX, and Susan Dils of Manhattan, KS; and four great grandchildren, Braeden and Ashlyn Lawrence, and Karlee and Garrett Mulkey.

The family wishes to thank Kathleen Franklin and the staff at Night N Gale Homecare for their loving care of June Wright. They have all been June's angels and there support has been a continued blessing.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made either to your individual church or Alzheimer's Association in memory of June Helen Wright.
