Karl Shears, 30, of Sioux Falls

Funeral Services are 1 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Marty Community Center in Marty. Burial is in Holy Name Episcopal Cemetery, rural Dante. Wake services will begin Sunday at the Community Center.

Karl Shears, a.k.a. Malone Bruguier was born in Yankton. He are up in Marty and moved to Sioux Falls. He died Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at his home in Sioux Falls.

Karl grew up with Jared and Drew and the Marty boys that he considered brothers.

His favorite teams were the Saints and Celtics. He liked hanging out with his friends, driving around. He was such a nice person to everyone.

Karl has a younger sister, Jule Shears and half brothers and sisters, Anthony, Phillip, Dave, Endonnis and Lisa. He also had some friends in Sioux Falls he thought of as brothers, Ryan and Les.

Karl will be buried in Holy Name Episcopal Cemetery “Choteau Creek” by his dad, auntie Julie and his angel baby.
