Kathryn Kinder, 56, of Brookings
Funeral Mass will be 1 PM, Monday, February 4, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wagner, with burial in the parish cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Monday at the church from noon to 1 PM. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Kathryn Lee Kinder was born on March 12, 1951 at Wagner, SD, the daughter of Leo and Helen (Honner) Kinder. She died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at her daughter's home in Nunda, SD.
Kathryn attended school and graduated from Wagner High School. When she was younger, Kathryn worked at her sister and brother-in-law's Dairy Sweet and was a paralegal for four years in Wagner for East River Legal Services. She also worked at her brother's Coast to Coast store for a few years. She was a working mother and grandmother and when she turned 40, she went back to school and attended SDSU for two years.
Kathryn was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Wagner and the St. Thomas
Moore Catholic Church in Brookings.
Kathryn's life was her grandchildren. She loved to take them rummage saling and on playdates. She also enjoyed going to the casino with her sister.
Thankful for having shared her life are her daughter, Kelly and husband, Curt Virchow of Nunda; son, Buddy Sapp of Arlington; six grandchildren: Taylor, Curtis, Jessi, Dustin, Jacob and Dylan; brother, John and wife, Margret of Willow Lake; sister, Shirley Jussel of Wagner; sister-in-law, June Kinder of Arlington; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard (Dick) Kinder; brother-in-law, Clarence Jussel and uncle, Ed Honner.
