LaVelle Kreeger, 88, of Wagner
LaVelle died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Funeral services are 1 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until 1 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home.
LaVelle Kreeger was born August 15, 1922 at Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of Samuel and Olive (Leasure) McCormick. She died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. LaVelle attained the age of 88 years, four months and a day.
LaVelle's family moved to the Wagner area when she was an infant. She graduated from Wagner High School in 1940. LaVelle moved to Omaha, NE and worked in an ammunition factory during WW II. She then returned to Wagner.
LaVelle married Walter Kreeger in Ravinia on May 7, 1954. A son Jerry was born to their union in 1960. LaVelle was a homemaker and lovingly cared for her mother in her later years. She loved to visit with people, especially the elderly.
Thankful for having shared her life are her husband Walter of Nebraska City, NE; son Jerry of Draper, SD; two grandchilderen: Steven Kreeger of Germany and Roman Kreeger of Sioux Falls; a brother, Harold and wife Bev McCorkmick of Crescent, IA; two sisters: Hazel and husband Lyle Mason of Elk Point and Shirley Myears of Lake Andes; and several nieces and nephews.
LaVelle was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Nelson McCormick and a sister, Mildred Geuther.
