Leonard Kocer, 64, of Wagner

A Celebration Of Lenny's Life funeral mass will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment is in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Leonard Alan Kocer was born November 27, 1959 in Wagner, SD, the son of Romaine and Helen (Schoch) Kocer. He died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the Sanford Chamberlain Medical Center due to an automobile accident near Pukwana, SD.

Lenny graduated from Wagner High School in 1978. He was a well known throughout South Dakota and Nebraska as an iron buyer who put on a million miles in his work. Lenny lived a colorful life and always was getting into mischief. He loved to play poker and visit casinos. He will be remembered a s a really good grandpa and loved having ice cream with the grandkids.

Thankful for having shared his life are his daughter Micki (Jose) Gallegos of North Little Rock, AR, two sons:  Alen Kocer of Sioux Falls and Rhian Kocer of Chicago, IL; 4 brothers:  Bill Kocer of Wagner,  SD, Paul (Susan) Kocer of Ft. Morgan, CO, Steven (Donna) Kocer of Chamberlain, SD and Romaine (Barb) Kocer of Strugis, SD; 7 grandkids and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents Romaine and Helen Kocer; brother Chuck Kocer; niece Haley Reiser; paternal grandparents Tom and Clara Kocer; and maternal grandparents Ludwig and Katherine Schoch.
