Leonard Stogsdill, 66, of Aberdeen

Leonard died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Sanford Medical Center in Aberdeen. Funeral services are 11 AM, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Visitation will be the hour prior to services at the church. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Leonard G. "Stogs" Stogsdill was born September 16, 1949 at Yankton, SD, the son of Leonard and Olga (Slagle) Stogsdill. He died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Sanford Medical Center in Aberdeen.

Leonard graduated from Yankton High School in 1967. He served in the US Army from August of 1969 to July of 1971.

Leonard was united in marriage to Linda Avenell on June 23, 1984 in Yankton. He worked for Nustar Pipeline from September of 1981 until he retired in July of 2013.

Leonard will be remembered for his love of Nascar, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, tinkering in his garage doing mechanic work, crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife Linda of Aberdeen; daughter, Carrie Marshall of Rapid City and her children, Tyler and Finn; son, Paul "Bud" Stogsdill of Aberdeen; four brothers: Gene (Vicki) Stogsdill of Tabor, Lawrence Stogsdill of Lakeside, CA, Jim (Pam) Toupal of Dante and Jerry (Dea) Toupal of Lennox; sisters: Lana (Dennis) Dodge of Avon and Linda (Ray) Morse of Elko, NV; uncle, Paul Stogsdill of Wagner; and two aunts: Louise Henley of Phoenix, AZ and Lois Kearley of Pensacola, FL.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Polly Stogsdill.
