Lianne Jeannette Gunnare, 86, of Armour, SD, died Monday, September 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Lianne was born on January 26, 1935, in Avon to Edwin and Bertha (Frederick) Beck of Delmont. She graduated from Delmont High School in 1953 and played softball with her sister Janice and future sister-in-law Alice Gunnare, coached by Judge Sharpe.

On February 14, 1954, Lianne married John C. Gunnare of Delmont. Together they farmed south of Delmont before moving to "The Farm" north of Wagner in Charles Mix County in 1963. Lianne and John retired and moved to Armour in 2014.

Lianne will be remembered for her strong faith in God, dedication to her four children, and love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lianne's love of sports found them traveling many miles following her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for sewing of clothes, quilts, and crafts. Both Lianne and John as crafters attended craft fairs in multiple states. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing, collecting cookie jars, salt and pepper shakers and decorating their home for every occasion for all to enjoy.

Lianne is survived by her loving husband John of 67 years and their children Debra (John) Rothenberger, Les (Kelly) Gunnare, Dwight (Ann) Gunnare, and Lori (Peter Phelan) Gunnare. Her grandchildren are Aaron, Adam, Justin, Mallary, Rachael, Christopher, Danielle, Jordan, and Kate; she has also been blessed with 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Janice (Larry) Jones and Ronald (Marilyn) Beck; and sisters-in-law: Carla Beck, Ruthie Sharpe and Alice Fuerniss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lianne was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Charles, and grandson Justin John Gunnare.
