Lorraine Fidone, 90, of Wagner

Lorraine died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner, SD. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, June 16, 2008 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 PM until 5 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. A Rosary/Wake service will be held at 7 PM, Sunday at the church.

Lorraine Fidone was born November 2,1917 at Wagner, South Dakota, the daughter of Emil and Mary (Kafka) Barta. She died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner, SD. Lorraine attained the age of 90 years, seven months and 10 days.

Lorraine lived on the farm near Wagner and when she was still a child, her family moved to Omaha, NE. Lorraine married Sebastian "Suby" Fidone in Omaha, NE on August 22, 1934. She worked as a waitress and also was a factory worker for awhile. In August of 1987, they moved to Wagner, SD. Lorraine and Suby entered the Good Samaritan Center in July of 2007.

Lorraine was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

Lorraine will be remembered for her love of camping, fishing, being in the outdoors, dancing and polkas.

Thankful for having shared her life are her husband, Suby, of Wagner; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her daughter, Josephine, who died in infancy; parents; and two brothers: Adolph and Lewis Barta.
