Margaret R. LaPointe, 38 of Delmont
Her funeral service was 10:00 a,m, Monday at the American Legion Hall in Wagner, with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of the arrangements.
Margaret Rose LaPointe was born November 29, 1975 to Martha Montgomery and Marvin LaPointe, Sr. She died Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Wagner Memorial Community Hospital in Wagner, SD.
Margaret was a kind and loving soul, always happy and the family comedian. Anytime you felt depressed or down, go to see Margaret and she'd have you laughing in no time. She was also very intelligent and loved the new technology. Need infromation of any kind? Just call Margaret.
She loved her nieces, Aubrey, Vanessa and Mia, and nephew David, with a full heart and would do anything for them.
She was a blessing to all her "old" Aunties and Mother as she gladly hung in there with us and always happy to ride along to the Casino, go shopping or just go out to eat and always a good person to play a game of Pitch.
How blessed we all feel for having Margaret share our lives for the short span of 38 years.
She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her Mother, Martha Geuther, Stepfather, Rodney Geuther, Sr., father, Marvin LaPointe, Sr.; sisters: Wendy Geuther, Cheyenne LaPointe, Arionna LaPointe; brother, Dakota LaPointe; nieces: Aubrey, Vannesa, Mia; her nephew, David; uncles: Pierre LaPointe, Loren LaPointe; aunts: Shirley Old Lodge, Wanda Miner, Regina LaPointe, Norma LaPointe, Lois Blaine, Vicki Knife, Agnes Jahn, Bertha Marks, Berta Montgomery, Jackie Hanson; uncles: Louis and Clarence Montgomery, Gerald, Matt and Nick Geuther; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
Margaret was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Margaret Montgomery, grandmother, Josephine LaPointe, aunts: Carole Smith, Rose LaPointe; uncles: Robert Montgomery, Percy Montgomery and Edward Knife, Sr.; brothers: Marvin LaPointe Jr., Rodney Geuther Jr.; and her sister, Mildred "Millie" Geuther; cousins, Edward Knife, JR. and Zollie Montgomery.
