Marilyn Wright, 76, of Avon

Memorial services will be 11 AM, Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment is in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Marilyn Kay Wright was born February 13, 1945 in Wagner, SD, the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Bouska) Wampol. She died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

Marilyn graduated from Wagner High School and attended on year of business school. She married George Wright on September 5, 1964. Two sons were born to their union. Marilyn lived in Yankton where she worked at Gurney's Seed and Nursery and Walbaums as a waitress. She later worked at a nursing home and at Dale Electronics.

Thankful for having shared her life are her son Virgil of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren: Kyle, Erika and Alyssa; four great grandchildren: Kiera Wright, Eva Wright, Adrian Wright and Arlo Carter; three sisters: Agnes Nedved of Wagner, Delores (Gordon) Thomas of CA, and Alyce Frandsen of MN.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, son Vincent Wright, brother Raymond Brodsky, and brothers-in-law Ejner Frandsen and Norman Nedved.
