Mary Patterson, 52, of Wagner

Services were 10 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Ellen Patterson was born in Wagner, SD on August 23, 1962 to Diane Crawford and Layton Patterson, Sr. Mary was the oldest of her siblings: Linda Patterson, Lavonne Cournoyer, Ronny Patterson, Chris Patterson, Shane Patterson and Layton Patterson, Jr. She had six children: Shawn Patterson, Jovonna Patterson, Sonny Weston, Justin Patterson, Leslie Patterson and Tevin Primeaux. Mary was a big part and helped raise many of her 18 grandchildren.

Mary lived in Wagner for most of her life, however she did live in Utah for quite some time before she returned home to raise her children. She always liked to look her best and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing crosswords, playing the machines and collecting knick knacks. She also had a green thumb for taking care of plants. Mary loved to be out and about visiting with friends and family and living life to the fullest. She was always walking somewhere even when she could barely get around.

Mary entered the spirit world on August 11, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. She was preceded in death by her son Justin, father Layton, brother Layton Jr., granddaughter Kandi, grandparents and other relatives who she loved.
