Melvin Cournoyer, 43, of Wagner

Private services are being held at 2 PM, Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Friends may join in procession to the burial at the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery in Greenwood.

Melvin Henry Cournoyer Jr., also known as "Bebe" was born December 20, 1976 in Wagner, SD to Melvin and Marcella (Iron Hawk) Cournoyer. He died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Sanford Vermillion Hospital.

Melvin attended various schools and grew up in the Wagner area. He was blessed with three children: Kaleb, Mariah and Kayla. Melvin was known for his fry bread, telling jokes, and helping people out when they needed any yard work or cleaning done.

Melvin is survived by his three children: Kaleb, Mariah and Kayla; his siblings: Russell, David, Annetta, Brian and Aurthor; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and numerous relatives.
