Michelle "Goose" Meiers, 57, of Wagner
Goose died Friday, November 17, 2023 in her home in Wagner, SD. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at The Lighthouse in Wagner. Burial will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery in Wagner. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023 at The Lighthouse with a prayer service at 7 PM to follow.
Michelle "Goose" Renee Meiers was born on January 20, 1966 to Dorlan and Jan Rolston. She passed peacefully in her home surround by her family on November 17, 2023.
Goose grew up and attended school in Wagner. On November 6, 2004, Michelle married Randy Meiers in Wagner. She worked at the Yankton Sioux Housing Authority for 18 years.
Michelle will be remembered for her love for her kids and grandkids. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She loved to go to their games and activities. She always had a good laugh when teasing and arguing with them. Goose was to the point, honest, and blunt. She loved Bingo. She enjoyed dancing and jamming to oldies. If music was going, she was cleaning and dancing. She loved going to the races and cheering on her boys.
Goose shared her life and is survived by children: Derik Rolston of Wagner, Kendra (Clay) Johnson of Wagner, Wendy (Aaron) Wilson of Armour, and Randal Meier Jr. of Wagner; 16 grandchildren; mother Janith Rolston of Wagner; sisters Kathy (Pete) Kazena and Brenda (Ron) Fredrich all of Wagner; mother-in-law Dona Meiers of Avon; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, and great friends she thought of as family.
Goose is preceded in death by her husband Randy Meiers; granddaughter Maycie Anderson; father Dorlan Rolston; father-in-law Junior Meiers; grandpa and grandma Fenton and Thelma Rolston; uncles: Harold (Gloria) Rolston, Marvin (Dollie) Rolston, Richard (Verna) Beem, Wesley Keatts, Merrit Tatum, and Dean Bambas; and aunt Maude Rolston.
