Noah Grant, Sr., 62, of Wagner

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Wagner Community Church. Burial is in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Wake services will be Thursday at the YST South Gym.   Noah Mitchell Grant, Sr. entered the spirit world on January 29, 2024 at the Prince of Peace Nursing Home hospice care unit in Sioux Falls, SD.

Noah Mitchell Grant, Sr. entered the spirit world on January 29, 2024 at the Prince of Peace Nursing Home hospice care unit in Sioux Falls, SD.

Noah was born on September 6, 1961 to Walter Grant and Alice (Rabbit) Grant in Wagner, SD at the IHS. Noah attended preschool and kindergarten in Wagner. The family moved to Gregory where he attended elementary and high school. Noah attended SouthEast Tech and received his CDL in truck driving.

Noah welcomed his first son, Daniel Preston Grant, on  October 5, 1980. Noah met and married Rhonda Tachine in Pinon, AZ in 1983. To this union three children were born. Armelia on September 6, 1983, Noah Jr. "Boomer" on January 18, 1987 and Silas "Baby Si" on January 2, 1988. Noah was also a father to Trina Crooked Foot and Jasmine Grant.

Noah was a true believer in his native culture. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and conducted many prayer ceremonies for relatives in all 4 directions. He had a natural talent for beadwork and making NAC instruments. He enjoyed his family and the many friends he made in his journey in life.

Noah is survived by his sons Daniel and Noah Jr. and daughter Trina; his grandchildren: Zoey, Daniel Jr. "DJ", Jaden, Brennan, Abriana, Emmalyn, Ellie and Hannah; sister Rose (Scott) Salmen of Wagner; brother Byron (Camden) Grant of Bremerton, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Noah was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Alice;; brother David; his children: Armelia, Silas and Jasmine and granddaughter Savannah.
