Pamela P. Bures, 70 of Wagner
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at East Lake Andes Lutheran Church, rural Wagner, with burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Andes. Visitation will be 3 to 7 Friday at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner, with the family present from 5 to 7.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Pamela Priscilla Bures, daughter of Harry and Marie (Soulek) Parker, was born September 6, 1947 at Lake Andes. She died Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner with her family by her side. Pam attained the age of 70 years, four months and 17 days.
Pam grew up in the Lake Andes and Ravinia areas. She attended rural school near Lake Andes for four years and then attended the remaining grade school years in Ravinia. Pam graduated from Ravinia High School in May of 1965.
Pam was confirmed in the early 1960s in the Episcopal faith at Greenwood. She was a member at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lake Andes for many years, transferring later to Holy Spirit in Wagner.
On December 3, 1965, Pam was united in marriage to Robert Dale Bures at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lake Andes. Following her husband's discharge from the service, they moved to Wagner where she resided the rest of her life. On December 23, 1967 their daughter, Rhonda Jean was born. Pam worked at various businesses for 25 years while living in Wagner.
Pam will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren and great grandson. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her cat and dog and doing the altar linens for her church.
Thankful for having shared her life are her husband Robert of Wagner; daughter Rhonda and husband Jim Hoffman of Yankton; six grandchildren: Rachael, Robert, Rochelle, Jammie Jo, James and Nicholas; one great grandson, Bentley; three sisters: Helen Lewin of Hartford; Alice Engelbretson of Sioux Falls; Onalee Exon and husband Robert of Topeka, KS; and sister-in-law, Pamela Parker of Marshall, MN.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Dale Parker; and sister Marymarie Muchow and husband Millard.
