Peggy Jan (Hoff) Haenfler, born on September 14, 1962, in Tyndall, South Dakota, to the late Richard and Lillian (Stoebner) Hoff, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy graduated from Tyndall High School in 1980 and proudly earned an associate degree in accounting from the University of South Dakota-Springfield. She married the love of her life, Ray Haenfler, with whom she shared almost 43 years of unwavering love and companionship.

Despite decades of illness, Peggy remained an avid biker, hunter, athlete, and sports fan. She dedicated her professional life to bookkeeping for local businesses and government agencies, showing her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to her community. She also had a passion for the Isaac Walton trap club, which brought her immense joy.

Peggy's life was a testament to kindness and generosity. She was always there to lend a hand, especially to those less fortunate, embodying the spirit of compassion and selflessness.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ray Haenfler; her beloved children, Dr. Jill (Haenfler) and Dr. Adam Iliff of Ann Arbor, MI, and Jeff and Becky Haenfler of Avon; and her cherished grandchildren, Kurt, Emersyn, Maxwell, and Haven. She leaves behind her dear sisters, Pam Olsen of Kirksville, MO, Paula (Gene) Allstot of Vermillion, and Pat (Mike) Hardman of Kalona, IA. Peggy was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lillian (Stoebner) Hoff, and her parents-in-law, Joseph and Mildred (Vilhauer) Haenfler.

Peggy will be remembered for her warm heart, her resilient spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
