Funeral Services were held 11 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2008
at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, Wagner, SD with Rev Kay Jennings, officiating.

Burial was in Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, Greenwood.



Ramona Hattie (Provost) Archambeau was born
September 24, 1930 to Everett Provost Sr. and Evelyn
(LeClaire) Provost in rural Dante, South Dakota.
She was raised in that area & later moved to Greewood, SD.

In 1949, she married Clarence (Chuck) Archambeau Sr, and
to this union four children were born. Clarence (Sonny)
Archambeau Jr., Jeanie Archambeau, Francis Archambeau,
and Alice Archambeau.

Chuck & Ramona raised their children in Greewood, SD.
Ramona started her married life as a mother and housewife.
Her & Chuck helped on the family farm of Percy & Helena
Archambeau. They also worked in Sioux City, Iowa.
Later, Ramona worked in various jobs in the community
services area, and went on to be a cook/nutritionist for the
Indian Health Service in Wagner, SD. She later transferred
to the I.H.S. Phoenix Indian Medical Center where she
married Earl Shrank, Armour, SD.

She is well known for love of her family & always being
there to lend a helping hand for others in need. She loved
sewing & was recognized for her beautiful starquilts.
She was active in her church, Holy Episcopal Church,
Wagner, South Dakota

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett & Evelyn
Provost; her brother Everett Provost Jr.; sons Clarence
(Sonny) Archambeau Jr., infant son, Alan Archambeau;
and infant grand-daughter Erica Azure.

She is survived by: sisters, Audrey & husband Ken Mobley
of Ada, Oklahoma; Joan Provost, Sioux City, Iowa;
children Jeanie Archambeau of Wagner, SD, Francis and
Lucy Archambeau of Langford, SD and Alice Archambeau
of Wagner, SD. She has many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
