Randal Meiers Sr., 57, of Wagner

Funeral services are 1:30 PM, Monday, March 22, 2021 at The Lighthouse in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation is Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner.

Randal Joe "Rico" Meiers, Sr. was born in Tyndall, SD on October 30, 1963, the son of Junior and Dona (Weisz) Meiers. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his home in Wagner.

Randy attended school in Avon. He was raised on a farm northwest of Avon.

Randy married Michelle Rolston on November 6, 2004 in Wagner. In his younger years he worked at the Wagner Sale Barn, Carda's Service, John's Tire and for Larry Pelton. He then worked for the City of Wagner as a police officer and in maintenance. He was self employed for many years with his business Meiers Salvage Towing and Repo. Randy was a hard worker who also worked various side jobs while operating his business.

Randy will be remembered for his love of racing, fishing, going to auctions, and hunting (especially coon hunting). His grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife Michelle of Wagner; six children: Jenny Meiers of Sioux Falls, Derik Rolston of Wagner, Kendra (Clay) Johnson of Corsica, Wendy (Aaron) Wilson of Armour, Randal Meiers Jr. of Wagner and May Lynn Meiers of Avon; 18 grandchildren; mother Dona Meiers of Avon; three brothers: Brian Meiers of Belle Fourche, Jim (Michelle) Meiers of Elko, NV, Kenny (Michelle) Meiers of Harrisburg; sister Shereen (Damon) Griffith of Avon; many nieces, nephews, and great friends he thought of as family.

Randy was preceded in death by his granddaughter Maycie Anderson, father Junior Meiers, and uncle Glenn Meiers.
