Richard Lee Picotte, 35, of Mantachie, MS, formerly of Wagner
Richard died Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Tupelo, MS. Wake services were held y at the YST South Housing Gym in Wagner. Funeral services were 1 PM, Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
RIchard Lee Picotte was born in Indianapolis, IN on APril 28, 1981. He parents are Carol Picotte of Wagner and Raymond R. Hoving (deceased) of Keystone, IN.
He leaves behind his three children: daughter Lillian R. Picotte of Mitchell, daughter Roma Rahman of Mitchell and his son Damion Raymond of Yankton; his mother Carol Picotte (Warren) of Wagner; sister LaShannon Picotte of Manhatton, KS; and two brothers: LaRay Picotte and wife Dayla and their son Wiconi P Picotte of Lake Andes; brother Chad and Siqoyia Hoving of SIoux Falls; grandmother Thelma Capper of Keystone, IN; aunties: Penny, Kathy and Lexie; uncles: ROnnie and Richard Capper, also from IN.
All of his relatives held a special place in their hearts for Richie. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and exploring the Ihanktonwan Indian land as he would say. A believer and warrior he was... He would say "Mom, Gotta watch the Hood". All relatives held a special place in their hearts for Uncle Richie, he was down to earth and was a survivor.
He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Hoving; grandfather Richard Capper; grandfather Joseph Picotte, Sr.; cousin Emma Picotte; nephew Al Zadin Picotte; and his girlfriend, Stephanie Ellison of Tulepo, MS.
