Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wagner, with burial in the parish cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner Sunday from 2 to 5, followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary/Wake at the church.

Bob died unexpectedly at his home in rural Wagner on Thursday, December 12, 2013.

Robert Lee "Bob" Honomichl, son of Joe and Hattie(Becvar) Honomichl, was born December 16, 1947 at the Wagner Hospital in Wagner, SD. He died unexpectedly at his home in rural Wagner on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Bob attained the age of 65 years, just a few days short of his 66th birthday.

Bob graduated from Choteau Creek Country School #10 and attended Wagner High School for one year.

Bob did basic training and was in the National Guard. Bob worked at Tyndall and then after his father's death, he and his brothers began farming. After his brother Leonard passed away, Bob and Larry continued to farm.

Bob was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the American Legion Greer Post #11.

Thankful for having shared his life are his mother, Hattie of the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner; sister, Marlene Stepka and husband Ray of Tyndall; brother, Larry of Wagner; two nieces, Beverly Stepka of Alcester and her children Thaddeus Giedd of Sioux Falls, Alyssa Giedd of Vermillion, and Yvette Stepka of Yankton; one nephew, Kevin and wife Lee Ann Stepka of Tyndall and their children Wyatt, Ty and Grant; and other relatives and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his father; brother, Leonard; and his grandparents: Anton and Elizabeth Honomichl of Wagner and Paul and Pauline Becvar of Avon.
