Robert died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. A private family Memorial Service will be held. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Raymond Kuca was born at Avon, SD on May 11, 1930, the son of Raymond and Caroline (Kostel) Kuca. He died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Robert attained the age of 80 years, seven months and 21 days.

Robert graduated from Wagner High School in 1948. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Robert married Gaylene Morrow on July 16, 1957 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner. Three children were born to their union: Julie, Brian and Patsy. He farmed south of Dante. Due to failing health he entered the Good Samaritan Society in November of 2008.

Robert will be remembered as a real handy-man who could fix anything. He enjoyed fishing and boating and loved to cook.

Robert was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Dante.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, Gaylene Kuca of Dante; daughter, Julie and husband Jeff Doom of Wagner; son, Brian and wife Doreen Kuca of Dante; and daughter, Patsy and husband John Hill of Woodbury, MN; six grandchildren: Jenalee, Jilanne and Jessa Doom; and Brett, Chris and Ali Kuca; a brother, Don Kuca of Dante and a sister, Elaine Cihak of Dante; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Kuca; sister-in-law, Norma Kuca; brother-in-law, Don Cihak and nephews, Terry Kuca and Tim Cihak.
