Robert Moysis, 85, of Wagner

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 17, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 6 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.

Robert Lee Moysis was born December 17, 1931 in Kimball, SD, the son of James and Emma (Pospichal) Moysis. He died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

At an early age, Robert's family moved to the Sleepy Hollow Ranch south of Dante. He received his education through the eighth grade at a rural school south of Dante. Robert served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Robert farmed and ranched south of Dante. He farmed, harvested and cut silage with his brother, Alvin. He loved raising Angus cattle and pigs. He moved into Wagner upon his retirement from the farm.

Robert was a member of the VFW, the Farmer's Union, the Water District and was a member of the Board of Directors for Cenex in Dante.

Robert will be remembered for his love of traveling. He traveled as often as he could and loved taking vacations with his brother, Alvin. He also loved going to car races, enjoyed his cats and took great pride in his dogs, Sarge and Spot. Robert spent his holidays with his nieces and nephews and loved the 4th of July picnics that they had every year in Pickstown.

Thankful for having shared his life are his brother Lee of Highmore; two sisters: Martha Gengler of Rapid City and Eleanor Anderson of Wagner; sister-in-law Viola Moysis of Lennox; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Charles, Ed and Alvin; and three sisters: Gen Conger, Olive Dunsmore and Marie Anderson.
