Robert Zolnowsky, 85, of Wagner

Robert died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner, SD. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial is in the Z.C.B.J. Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 7 PM with the family present from 6 to 7 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.


Robert Zolnowsky was born September 5, 1923 at Dante, SD, the son of Edward and Josephine (Holmolka) Zolnowsky. He died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner, SD. Robert was 85 years old.

Robert married Dorothy Coles on February 2, 1948 at Wagner, SD. Together they farmed eight miles south and two miles east of Wagner. To their union three children were born.

Thankful for having shared his life are his daughter Kathy Bren of Beaverton, OR; two sons: Terry and wife Pat of Piedmont; and Richard and wife Kathy of Wagner; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd Zolnowsky of Owatonna, MN.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents, two sisters and three brothers.
