Roxanne Stricker, 46, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Wagner

Roxanne died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2013 at her home in Sioux Falls. Wake services will begin Saturday at the YST Gym in Wagner. Funeral services are 10 AM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Gym with burial in Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Roxanne Regan Conger-Stricker, daughter of Manny & Marcella Conger and biological parents Alvie Greger and Mary (Little Owl) Blaine, was born February 27, 1967 at Wagner, SD. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a young child. She died May 1, 2013 at her home in Sioux Falls of natural causes as a result of Type 1 Diabetes complications.

Roxanne was raised in Omaha, NE during her early years. She attended school at Marty Indian School, Wagner Community School and received her high school diploma while at Job Corps in Clearfield, UT. She then moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked as an office manager at an insurance agency. She attended United Tribes Technical College, Bismarck, ND, where she earned an Associate Degree in Medical Transcription. She attended Dakota State University, completing several classes. She had various jobs while living at Sioux Falls.

Roxanne married Francis Stricker, Jr. on June 7, 1997 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Marty, SD with Fr. Conrad Ciesel officiating. They shared their life with their precious children, Chaz, 15, Angelo, 13, Shea, 10 and Jocelyn, 4 years old. They lived at Bismarck, ND, Madison, Vermillion and at Sioux Falls, SD the last 10 years.

She loved the time spent with her children and husband, family outings and various occasions for family meals. She would fix plates to take to relatives to enjoy during those times. She liked the movie Twilight, which she viewed many, many times! She kept contact with family and friends on Facebook. She had a deep faith in God, read her Bible and favorite passages and the poem Footprints in the Sand.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Francis, children; Chaz, Angelo, Shea and Jocelyn, Sioux Falls; brothers; Terry Blaine, Wagner; Jerry Little Owl, Ravinia; Robert Ward, MN; Pete Blaine, Lake Andes; Clement Blaine, Jr., Fred and Paul Greger, Wagner; sisters; Madonna Howard, Wagner; Bonnie Ward, St. Paul, MN;, Missy Ackerman, Brookings; mother-in-law, Karen White Horse, father-in-law Robert Cournoyer, many cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her biological father and mother, her adoptive parents, father-in-law Francis Stricker, Sr., Aunt Connie, Sylvester, Jr., Shane and other relatives.
