Russell Hubbeling, 60, of Lake Andes

Russell died Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday, September 27, 2024 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery. Wake services will 7 PM Wednesday and Thursday at the YST South Gym in Wagner.

Russell Duane Hubbeling was born on August 12, 1964 to the proud parents of Blossom and Dance "Sunny" Hubbeling. Russel attended school at Wagner, SD. Thereafter, he attended college in Springfield, SD where he obtained a welding degree. Russel was fluent in the Dakota language and taught many of his relatives as he could. Russell then went to live with his mom and step-father Leo O'Connor in Eagle Butte, SD where he worked as a security guard at the cultural center. Russell is survived by his daughter Chrystal N. Yazzie and 5 grandchildren: Alric Jr., Dsamon, Deven, Lolita, and Kane.
