Sunbeam Necklace, 68, of Wagner
Funeral services were 2 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Sunbeam Necklace was born March 7, 1946 to Benedict and Sybil (Eagle) Necklace in Greenwood, SD. She died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home in Wagner after a long battle with cancer.
Sunbeam attended St. Francis Indian School up until the 11th grade.
She met her husband Walter Thornton, Jr. and they had seven children: Mary, Roxanne, Cheryl, Tina, Ronnie, Dawayne and Teresa (deceased).
She worked at the Fort Randall Casino for 17 years as a cook and supervisor in the restaurant.
She had a kind loving soul and was very active in her church and enjoying being around her family and friends.
Sunbeam will be remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed and remembered for her big heart and generosity.
