Susan Huapapi, 48

Susan died Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services are 10 AM, Friday, July 17, 2026 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial is in St. Phillip’s Episcopal Cemetery in Lake Andes. Wake services began Wednesday at the White Swan Community Center.

Susan Louise Huapapi was born to John Huapapi and Patricia Hart on December 10, 1977.

Susan and Sharon lost their parents at a young age. Jolene and David Arrow, Sr. stepped in and raised them. Susan attended her schooling in Lake Andes, S.D. and she worked various jobs.

She really enjoyed working with people and food. Susan Louise was well known for her cooking, which she loved doing very much. Susan was big on family and she always had her door open to anyone in need.

She loved to watch movies and spend time with family. Susan also loved to gamble and have a good time. She was a very social butterfly who always made friends wherever she went. Susan loved visiting whoever she could on the phone. She will be dearly missed.

Survived by her children Jorge Gonzalez, Yadir Hernandez, Patricia Gonzalez, Isabella, Hailee and Dakota “Baby Bear” Eugenio Ramos Huapapi, and Taylor Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Armantha McBride, Andrea and Sharon Huapapi, Bessie Weddell and David Reynolds.
