Theola Petrik, 83, of Wagner

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. The service will be live-streamed on the Wagner United Methodist Church Facebook page. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner.

Theola Petrik was born on a farm near Crofton, NE, the daughter of Simon and Rachel (Behrens) Meirose. She died Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home in Wagner.

Theola's family moved to Wagner when she started school. She graduated from Wagner High School in 1958. Theola was united in marriage to Marvin Petrik in Wagner on June 11, 1958. Together they farmed northwest of Wagner their entire lives.

Theola and Marvin enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Mesa, AZ, which they did for about 20 years. She enjoyed working in her garden and took great pride in mowing and keeping a nice yard. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Thankful for having shared her life are her two children: Daniel (BettyJo Lippert) Petrik of Yankton and LeaAnn (Kenneth) Riggs of Dawsonville, GA; five grandchildren: Jason (Amanda) Petrik, Nick (Brandi) Petrik, Jenny (Nick) Hohensee, Taylor RIggs and Casey Riggs; six great grandchildren: Madilynn and Rilynn Hohensee, Addison and Auden Petrik, TJ Krietlow and Mazie Petrik; and; brother, Alan (Irmadean) Meirose of Ft. Madison, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Theola was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin on July 19, 2014; daughter Beverly Jean in infancy; parents; brother, Larry Meirose; and sister-in-law, Marcella Petrik; and brother-in-law, Donald Petrik.
