Thomas L. Smith, 84, entered eternal rest on Nov. 30,2009, at home in McAllen, TX after a year long battle with cancer.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 4, 2009 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wagner, South Dakota
with burial in the parish cemetery.
He was born on February 23, 1925 in Avon, S.D. to Fred and Mary Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sons Billy and Tom D.; brothers John, Clifford, and Charles; sisters Lorraine and Thelma.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 62 years, sons: James (Sheri) and Jack (Mary); brothers Glen (Ann) and Lyle; sisters Elaine (Bob), Leota and sister-in-law, Barbara. He had 4
grandchildren and one great grandson.
Thomas was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Thomas served in the Army during World War II.
