Timothy VandenHoek, 28, of Wagner
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church, rural Armour. Burial is in the Mizpah Cemetery, rural Plankinton. Visitation will be Monday from 2 PM until 6 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.
Timothy Michael VandenHoek was born August 11, 1981 at Armour, SD, the son of Donna (Wiersma) Beeson and Steve VandenHoek. After fighting cancer for three years, he died peacefully at home on Saturday, December 26, 2009, with his mom and stepfather by his side.
Timothy graduated from Wagner High School in 2000 and Southeast Tech in auto body repair.
Timothy was employed at Cracker Barrel and 601 restaurant in Sioux Falls as a cook. He also worked as a computer technician at Hutchinson Technology at the Sioux Falls location until it closed in June of 2009.
Timothy loved working on cars, especially hot rods. He also loved watching the Food Channel.
He is leaving behind his mother and stepfather, Donna and husband Tom Beeson of Wagner; brother, Jeremy VandenHoek of San Diego; sister, Melissa VandenHoek of Mitchell; and girlfriend, Alicia Ahrendt of Inwood; his dog, Romeo; and many others.
Timothy was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arie Wiersma and Cornie VandenHoek.
