Todd Selwyn, 48, of Wagner

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Burial is in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Wake services will begin Monday at the Legion Hall. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 26, 1965.

Todd Richard Selwyn was born on May 26, 1965 to Zelda ( Rencountre-Packard) in Yankton, S.D.

Todd was the youngest of thirteen in his family. Todd was raised by his sisters Lois, Carol, Georgette and he was also raised along with his sister Joyce's kids; Shielee, Donde, and Donita and his sisters kids called his mom "Grandma", so did he. When given back his mother he said " I used to call her Grandma and she used to get mad." Finally she told him, " I'm your mother." The only father Todd knew was John Schunk. John took Todd wherever he went while being a DS in the marines, which meant he lived in a lot of places and attended a lot of schools. Todd moved to Marty, S.D. and went to Marty Indian School. While there Todd was active in the Marty Boxing Club with Darrell Zephier as instructor.

Todd went to live with his sister Georgette Boyer of Billings, MT. It is there that he fell in love with the mountains. He went to school at South Central, Billings MT. In 1991, Todd came back to Marty S.D. to be with his mother whose health was failing. In 1993, Todd started to work for the Ft. Randall Casino where he worked in the lounge first and later sold change. Todd met Nadine while working as a change person. On November 11, 1994 Todd and Nadine (Gullikson) McBride exchanged wedding vows in their house east of Wagner by Father, Conrad Ciesel. To this union their son Joshua Diamond Selwyn was born. Todd was a Security Guard for nine years at the casino then held various jobs around Wagner.

Todd will be remembered for his generous nature and his ability to make you laugh. He used to love working on cars and making things work. On July 22, 2013 fell ill with seizures which led to his placement at Brookhaven (a brain injury center) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, from September 29, 2013 until his death on December 26, 2012 at 1:03 P.M. at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Todd leaves to mourn his wife Nadine, his son Joshua and step-children Jessica and Jason of Wagner, S.D.; Sisters Lois Stock and Carol (Dan) Halbert of Yankton, S.D.; Sister Georgette ( Francis) Boyer of Wagner, S.D. and Sister Marion (Jim) Jones of Rapid City, S.D. and Brother Meryn James (Jimmy) Selwyn of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Todd was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Sisters: Loretta, Charlene, Delphine, Doney and Joyce Roblef; Brothers: Wayne Charles, Ernest Dale, Laverne Jr. and Allen Keith Selwyn.
