Tom Gill, 66, of Avon

Graveside memorial services and interment of his cremains will be 10 AM, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Thomas Alfred Gill, Jr. was born in Newport News, VA on August 19, 1948, the son of Thomas and Joean (Davis) Gill, Sr. He died Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Tom spent his early life working with his father fixing TV's, Radio and electrical equipment. They operated a HAM radio talking to people all over the country. He later moved to Rapid City where his mother lived. He pent time in various jobs and working with animals.

Tom married Anita Cermak and live near the Wagner area raising and training horses and all types of animals and fowl. After Anita passed away he lived in Greenwood and then moved to Avon in 2003, where he remained until his death.

Tom loved playing guitar and birds of all kinds. He will be missed by many friends he made in the Avon area.

He is survived by a sister, Vicki Borring of Gillette, WY; half brother, Rusty Harvill of Rapid City; and step children: Bryan Cermak of Greenwood; Tim Cermak of Wagner; Shelly Cermak of Wagner and Melody Olsen of Sioux Falls.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Anita and parents.
