Traun Cook, Sr., Inyan Duta Hoksina "Red Rock Boy" 38, of Yankton

Funeral services were 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services began Sunday at the White Swan Community Center.

Traun Laramie Cook, Sr. was born June 10, 1983 to Wallace, Sr. and Alvena (Fischer) Cook in Vermillion, SD. He grew up in Vermillion and Sioux Falls. He attended school in both places.

Traun recently worked in the Frozen & Dairy Department of Hy-Vee of Yankton as a stocker, but he has had many different occupations, as he was somewhat of a Handyman.

His OCD worked in his favor. Traun Sr. has always been a fun spirit and crazy soul. He was mechanically inclined and loved his cars, his latest fast car, taking his life on October 1, 2021. He was taken too soon and will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by a nephew and too many relatives, who we know will welcome him with open arms.

He is survived by two children, Traun Cook, Jr. and Mazey Cook of Canton; his father Wallace Cook, Sr. (Kathy) of Canton; his mother Alvena Cook (Duane) of Yankton; brother Wallace Cook, Jr. (Kristina) of Portland, OR, Hunka brother Robin Morgan of Vermillion; sisters: Alecia Cook (Dominic), Katrina Cook (Charles), Sabrina Cook, and Darice Cook (Donnie), all of Yankton; seven nephews, seven nieces and several relatives.
