Tressa Holiday, 15, of Sioux Falls
Tressa died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the YST South Housing Community Gym in Wagner. Burial is in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Wake services will be Thursday and Friday at 7PM, at the Gym. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Tressa Victoria Lee Holiday "Wahca Waste Ste Wiyan" was born February 22, 1999 in Provo, UT to DeAmbra Ashes and Solomon Holiday. She joined twin brothers, Trajan and Trevor Holiday. Her siblings include another brother, Elias Archambeau, Constance, Promise and Janaya Holiday on her Dad's side and Tracen Ashes and Akatia Joseph on her Mom's side.
Tressa grew up in Rapid City, SD from 2000-2005, briefly lived in Bismarck, ND and Ogalala, SD in 2006. She then moved back to Rapid City from 2007 to 2010. She lived in Sioux Falls since 2011 until the time of her death.
Tressa loved school and it showed in her GPA. She loved to socialize with her friends. She always made friends easily wherever she went. She also loved basketball and volleyball. She ran cross country and track in her elementary and middle school years. Tressa enjoyed making crafts out of leather and she enjoyed reading. She always had a smile on her face and loved to joke around. She was loved by many. Tressa was a very protective, loving, fun to be around, smart, beautiful person.
Thankful for having shared her life are her parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends as well as teachers and really anyone she has come in contact with.
Tressa is preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, a younger brother and grandparents that she adopted along the way.
