Tyler McKeegan, 52, of Lake Andes

Tyler died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 4, 2016 at his home in Lake Andes. Wake services began Monday and will be at 8 PM, Tuesday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Funeral services are 12 noon on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the White Swan Community Center, with military honors. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Tyler McKeegan was born on May 22, 1964 in Grand Island, NE to Mary (Leedom) and Mike McKeegan. He attended and graduated from Winnebago School where he achieved titles of All Sate BB and All State FB - he was #49. After high school, Tyler joined the United States Army and served from 1982-1984. He received his Bachelor of Human Services from Dakota Wesleyan where he met his wife Stacy.

Tyler worked at the Marty Indian School as a counselor; Yankton Sioux Tribe in Child Care Services; Andes Central School as a home school coordinator where he served on the IEC Board for numerous years and was currently employed at the Fort Randall Casino.

Tyler is survived by his wife Stacy, Lake Andes, SD; his daughters, Kelsey (Jared), Mankato, MN, Kady (Chance), Santee, NE and son, Joe, Lake Andes, SD; his grandchildren, Bradley, Imani, Joson, Kezlyn, Jaya and Kalonna; brother, Kevin (Jasmine) Ebert and sister, Anita (Jay) Shirley.

Tyler will be remembered for his love of the Nebraska Huskers, softball, his story telling, watching sports and his unconditional love for his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, grandparents and a brother.
