Tyler Provost, 31, of Wagner

Tyler died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services are 10 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2005 at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Burial is in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Wake services will begin Saturday at the Armory.

Tyler W. Provost, also known as "T-Bear," was born in Yankton County on September 30, 1993, to Dorlan Provost and Angelique Drapeau. He attended and graduated from Wagner Community School and was in the JAG program and president for 2 years until graduation. His love of hunting, being outdoors, and always sharing meat with family, working on cars, and helping everyone out that he could. He loved laughing and being around his cousins, family, and friends, especially Sonny.

He is survived by his parents, Dorlan Provost and Angelique Drapeau; siblings: Jennifer Shields, Katrina Drapeau, Kelsea Provost, and Mackenzie Provost; his paternal grandmother Violet Provost; his in-laws Chris and Gina Traverse; his love of his life, Kryslynn Traverse; his son, "Baby Bear" Elijah James Provost; and his daughter Lorainna Lynn Provost; his paternal grandpa Alvin Provost; his uncles: Leonard Provost, Verlyn Provost, Mahlon Provost, and Elgin Kezena; his aunties: Annette Kezena and family, Clarice Zephier, Kimberly Selwyn, Kelly Selwyn, Kristi Selwyn; all his cousins: Carmen Ashes, Leah Ashes, Lindsey Cooke, Carla Cooke, Christian Smekal, Colton Provost, Marques Provost, Alex Provost, Alyssa Thompson, Norman Thompson III, Zachery Weddell, Madisen Thompson, Kaitlynn Zephier, Dewayne Zephier, Gloria Zamora, Larry Weddell, Carter Weddell, Orlando Zephier, Caroline Zephier, Alexis Zephier, Johnny Zephier, Eli Zephier, Allery Selwyn, and Kristina Zephier.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandpa Clayton W. Provost; his maternal grandparents Larry Arpan and Kathleen "Short" Drapeau; two children, Julian and Tyra Provost; his twin brothers, Baby Boy Twins; and his uncle Elvis Provost.

His smile, laughter, and generosity will be greatly missed by all family and friends.

Pallbearers are Dallas Provost, Hunter Whirlwind Soldier, Norman Thompson, Gene Hare, Sr., Cody Horned Eagle, Kevin Drapeau, Korey Patterson and Lucas Cournoyer.
