Verlyn died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Lake Andes Health Care Center. Memorial services will be 10:30 am Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.
Verlyn George Ebright, son of Joe and Bernice (Jorgensen) Ebright, was born January 10, 1941 at Wagner, SD. He died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Lake Andes Health Care Center. Verlyn attained the age of 66 years, ten months and 15 days.
Verlyn attended school in the Delmont and Beresford areas and later received his GED.
Verlyn married Alona Bures on December 11, 1959 at Wagner. Four children were born to their union.
Verlyn worked at Honke Chevrolet and Coop in Wagner. He was a policeman in Wagner and Lake Andes for many years. Verlyn also worked Herrold Implement, Lake Andes Auto and Vernon's Repair.
Verlyn served on the Lake Andes Volunteer Fire Department and currently was an honorary member. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of bowling, playing pinochle and working.
Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, Alona of Lake Andes;
children: Myron Ebright of Sioux Falls, Myla Ebright of Black Hawk, LaVal
Paris and husband, Deck of Spearfish, and LaVern Ebright and wife,
Elizabeth of Rapid City and Lake Andes; nine grandchildren; five great
grandchildren (and one more soon to come); one brother, Dale of Sioux
Falls; three sisters: Joanne Fischer of Sioux Falls, Darla Rode of
Crookston, MN and Carolyn Rode of Chancellor; and other relatives and
friends.
Verlyn was preceded in death by his parents.
