Violet (Hare) Barnes, 65, of Minneapolis, MN
Violet (Hare) Barnes died Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Community Center in Marty. Burial is in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Wake services will begin Thursday at the Community Center. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
Violet was born in Wagner at the Indian Health Services Hospital to Wesley "Bud" Hare, Sr. and Leafia Pearl (Drapeau) Hare. Violet was living in St. Louis Park, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis at the time of her passing.
Violet graduated from St. Paul's Indian Mission in 1969, where she went to school for 12 years.
Violet had five sisters and five brothers. Sister are: Irma Jean, Joyce Marie, Reeta Evelyn, Pamela Jean and Juanita Katherine. Brothers are: Herbert Wilson, Louis Dale, Kenneth Norbert, Richard Clifton and Wesley Allen.
Violet also had nine children: Cheryl, George, William, James, Justin, Jesse, Annie, Malcolm and Sunny.
Violet loved to go to pow-wows, hang out with her friends and loved listening to Bob Marley music.
She is loved by all family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded into the Spirit World by her parents Bud and Lefia Pearl Hare; her brother Kenneth World Turner, Reeta Hare and Pamela Hare; and her children Jesse Blue and Sunny Rucker.
