Vivian Hrdlicka, 92, of Wagner

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Monday, January 29, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner, with burial in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Wagner from 5 to 6 PM, followed by a 6 PM, Prayer Service.

Vivian Agnes Hrdlicka, daughter of Thomas and Elin (Johnson) Cederburg, was born September 14, 1925 at Wagner. She died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. Vivian attained the age of 92 years, four months and 11 days.

Vivian attended school in Wagner and graduated from Wagner High School in 1943. She married Melvin F. Hrdlicka at the Methodist Church parsonage on March 11, 1947. Four children were blessed to their union.

Throughout her life, Vivian worked at various jobs in the area, but she was mainly a Mother and a farm wife.

Vivian became a member of the United Methodist Church in 1937. She held the longest continuous membership up until her death.

Vivian will be remembered for her enjoyment of polka and square dancing, keeping journals, doing puzzles, reading and doing crafts. She made many dolls and bunnies.

Vivian became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society on December 14, 2016.

Thankful for having shared her life are her children: Tom and wife Linda of Armour; Janet and husband Francis Lhotak of Wagner, and Eileen and husband Hardy Steffen of Springfield; five grandchidren: Stacy Frost, Jodi Kost, Brad Lhotak, Tiffany Hrdlicka and Jennifer Hrdlicka; 13 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jeanneane Cederburg of Spearfish.

VIvian was preceded in death by her husband Melvin on May 30, 2014; son, Jim; grandson Jeremy Lhotak; parents; two brothers: Gary and Verlin and his wife Ruth; and one sister, Violet Dickinson.
